4. What should I wear to class?

For ballet, please wear something in which you can move easily. Most dancers wear leggings and a tshirt. Leotards and tights can also be worn but there is no set uniform, it is important you feel comfortable. If you do not own ballet shoes, socks will be fine for a few lessons as they allow your feet to glide along the floor.

Tap attire is very relaxed but again, please make sure you can move freely and feel comfortable.

Everyone should bring a bottle of water to class as I like to work my dancers hard!

5. Which ballet/tap shoes do you recommend?

You can purchase shoes either online through dancedirect.com or movedancewear.com or visit Bath Dancewear in Radstock or Dancewell in Cotham, Bristol.

A split-soled ballet shoe is ideal, it can be made from canvas (washable) or leather (longer lasting) and can be any colour you so desire! Some styles require the elastics to be sewn on, others are pre-sewn. See here for a great shoe.

Tap shoe designs are similar to jazz shoes with a low heel. Taps on both toe and heel are recommended. Click here for a good example.

6. Can I get a refund for the course I have paid for?

All payments are non-refundable. If you believe you have good cause to ask for a refund, please contact kim@k4kimdance.co.uk.

7. How do I book?

All bookings are taken online in advance of courses/classes starting. Please follow the BOOK NOW link.

8. What are your term dates?

There are 6 6-week terms per year, starting in September, finishing in July. Summer Intensives are also offered throughout the Summer. Current academic year term dates can be found here.

9. What is the age range in class?

As an adult dance school, the classes are open to anyone from the age of 16. Age range spans from students, right up to those in their 80’s. Once you start dancing you will realise that age means absolutely nothing!
